Little boys

For those of you that have been blessed with all boys...HOLY COW...it's a crazy busy life, huh? Preston is definitely showing us the difference between boys and girls these days. We thought Madelyn was busy when she was climbing up stairs, putting everything in her mouth, and difficult to change...but Preston is all these things and SO MUCH MORE!

He's all about walking this week. He's been taking steps for a good month and a half now. About 3 weeks ago, he really started taking off for short distances. Now, he's starting to walk as his preferred means of transportation! His little waddle is SO stinkin' cute too. The thing is...he's either walking to find me, or he's walking to get into something...something he's not supposed to have like dog food, Madelyn's milk/juice, or the smallest spec of dirt on the floor! You've gotta be watching this little guy like a hawk. He LOVES the piano, the windows, balls, and his push toys. He's been a little under the weather the past couple weeks...so he hasn't been his usual photogenic self...but we're well on our way to 100%, thank goodness. We are thinking he's re-entering the wonderful world of teething though - so the Mommy attachment is quite intense. It's super sweet for me...but I feel bad that he doesn't want anyone else to hold him these days.

Preston at the playground - this was the last hora before getting sick. Actually it was this night that he woke up with an awful cough. You can tell in his eyes that he's not feeling it, but that smile is so cute!

Madelyn - she's all girl these days. Playing dress up, loving her dolls/stuffed animals, and admiring other big girls. Oh how she ADORES older girls! It's precious. I guess we can already say she's 2 going on 13! OH NO!!!

This is one of my favorite things these days - Madelyn LOVES to look out this window and be the first to spot me when I'm getting home from work. I can see her as I pull in the driveway - she's bouncing, and smiling, and saying, "Mom, Mom, Mom" - the BEST welcome home one could ask for!

Our life seems to just always be one thing after the next. Our schedule right now is booked through mid May...that's as least as far as I can think it through at this very moment. It seems like even if we don't have a specific scheduled event we're doing something. Shoot, even if we do have a day/night with out something to do or some place to go...we have two babies that make EVERYTHING an event!

This last one is a view of the sunset from our back yard! One year later...we still love our home! We're so excited for nice weather so we can get out and enjoy the back yard again! Come play with us any time!
